Itinerary Description

This eight day journey will weave India's most celebrated destinations with its most sacred place, creating an experience that can be traced back to thousands of years. Starting from the trails of the Sultans and Emperor, where seven cities live buried under the modern capital to the geometric splendour of the tomb of Humayun.

You will then land into the sacred lands of Mathura, where the devotion is manifested in the ancient temples and the calm stream of Yamuna river. This is the place where Krishna's legends come alive, not through the books, but through the daily chimes of the temple bells and the evening aartis.

In Agra, you will understand the actual meaning of “love is in the air”. You’ll see the seventh wonder revealing different moods throughout the days- fairy tale at dawn, golden shine in the middle of the day, and romance at dusk. The Agra fort also narrates the stories of love and compassion through its red sandstone wall.
Lastly, at your final destination in Jaipur, you will see the buildings painted in rose colour and golden desert light. The pink city also glorifies scientific accuracy and poetic splendour with the astronomical device at Jantar Mantar to the beautiful aesthetic wind tapping windows of Hawa Mahal.

Day1
Arrival in Dil Walon Ki Dilli

Dil Walon ki Dilli mein Aap ka Swagat Hai (You are welcome to Delhi). The Nation's capital rises from the foundation of seven ancient cities, each having an incredible story.

Once you have checked in to your hotel, we shall take you to explore India Gate, having the names of around 70,000 soldiers inscribed in honey coloured stone.

After saluting the bravery of our martyrs, you will drive past the Grand Presidential Palace and Parliament house and see how the British Imperial architect combined the best of Indian grandeur and colonial architectural styles through stone and mortar. At twilight, visit the Lotus Temple, where meditation becomes your prayer.

Next morning, head to the maze-like streets of old Delhi and feel the pulse of the Mughal Empire still beating. Start from the Red Fort, a masterpiece of red sandstone made by Shahjahan, where peacock thrones once sat and monsoon rains still wash the same courtyards.

Next walk to India's largest mosque, Jama Masjid, where the call to prayer has echoed for over 400 years. Ride a rickshaw in the silver street of Chandni Chowk, a place of spices, silk, and a hub for brides.

Visit Raja Ghat, where Mahatma Gandhi's eternal flame is still burning by the Yamuna river, giving us an opportunity to look into the soul of India or where the greatest soul of this land rested.

The first part of your third day belongs to Delhi's monumentalism: humayun tomb, where Indian Royal architecture was first tried. Next, visit Qutub Minar, which symbolizes the beginning of Muslim rule in India. This is attached to the Quwwat-ul-Islam Mosque, one the earliest mosques in India.
After having lunch, leave for Mathura to listen to the melodious flute sound of Krishna. Upon arrival in the evening, make your way to the hotel and get ready for the next day's spiritual immersion.

Today, walk down the streets, where Krishna used to have Rasraliyas with his Gopis and where he used to steal everyone’s heart with his mischiefs.

Start from Krishna’s Janmasthan Temple, where Hindu tradition places Krishna's birth over 5000 years ago. Explore Dwarkadhish Temple, where each carving tells a story of Krishna and then spend the time at Krishna museum which brings a fresh perspective through the artifacts. In the evening, go to Mathura Ghat, where the Yamuna river reflects the lights of the temple and devotional songs filling the air.

After having breakfast, travel to Agra, where you will see the power of Love. Upon arrival, visit the Agra Fort, which is Shahjahan's red sandstone citadel, where he spent his last years in the prison, gazing over the tomb of his beloved wife. As the skylight becomes golden, make your first visit to the Taj Mahal and notice how the white marble changes to gold at sunset, and then to silver at night.

Get up early in the morning and stand before the Taj Mahal. This would be the most magical sunrise of your life, where you will be woken up out of the dreams into reality. After mesmerising the beauty of the seventh wonder, make your way towards Fatehpur Sikri. This is the lost capital of Akbar, which seems to have ceased to exist a long time ago. Then visit the courtyard, where rulers used to conduct their courts and climb to Buland Darwaza, also known as the Gate of Victory. The city is a reminder that even emperors must bow down to nature, as they had to abandon it after 14 years when its water supply failed.

Next, go to the capital of Rajasthan, where you'll understand the real meaning of “Padharo Mare Desh,” as the city welcomes its tourists with an open heart.
On arrival, visit the City Palace, where the descendants of the Maharajas are still staying. After that, go to Jantar Mantar, the house of astronomical tools that were used by the 18th century astronomers to keep track of celestial events with mathematical accuracy.
In the Golden Hour, you will notice how beautiful 953 windows of the Hawa Mahal convert into a honeycomb of shadows and illumination.

The last morning begins with Amber Fort, which looks like a golden crown on the top of Aravali Hill. Take a deep breath of nature and then decide between an elephant ride or a jeep journey to enter the Fort. Explore the Palace rooms where mirrors multiply candlelight into infinity. Visit the Sheesh Mahal where thousands of small mirrors give an effect of the night sky, even during the day.
No one can miss the shopping in Jaipur’s Pink Bazaar, where you will find block print fabrics, blue poetry or silver jewellery made by hereditary craftsmen.
With nine days of living history in your heart, move onto the airport or the railway station in the afternoon, taking not just souvenirs, but the memories of the land which has witnessed history, love, and sacrifice.
